Training

We run weekly training runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with longer runs on Sundays.

You don’t need to be a member to come and join us for a few training runs - come down and meet our friendly run leaders and members, and see why Lytchett is the home for you.

We host 3 regular weekly runs on 2 nights during the week. Tuesday nights there is an option of a run at 7pm from Canford Cliffs Esplanade, or a group run from Lytchett Matravers recreation ground at 6:30pm. Thursday nights we run at 7pm from Lytchett Minster School Sports Centre.

Besides the midweek runs, we regularly hold weekend longer runs over road and trail, including the Purbecks.

Tuesdays - Sandbanks Run

7pm, Canford Cliffs Esplanade

With options for both 5k and 6+ mile distances, we meet on the Esplanade at 7pm every Tuesday and enjoy runs that often head out towards Sandbanks Peninsula and then along the seafront. All abilities welcomed and catered for.

Optional drinks and post run chatter at The Canford pub afterwards.

Tuesdays - Lytchett Trail Session

6:30pm, Recreation Ground, Lytchett Matravers

We are holding group trail runs around the village of Lytchett Matravers across the beautiful hills, fields and pathways. Often we will run across from Lytchett to Morden and back. All abilities welcomed and catered for. Trail shoes recommended.

Thursdays - Lytchett Run

7pm - Lytchett Minster School Sports Centre

We meet for 7pm at the home of our club, the Sports Centre at Lytchett Minster school. Various paced groups are catered for with run leaders, ensuring that whatever your ability you can enjoy a run that suits you. During the summer runs can venture through trail up to Lytchett Minster, other routes include venturing towards Poole, Hamworthy, Creekmoor and Upton Country Park.

Sundays - Longer Runs

Times and Locations announced on our news page.

We regularly organise longer distance runs on Sunday mornings, generally on trail over Wareham and the Purbecks. These runs are normally around 8 miles or more but often have multiple distance options, and are suitable for all paces with frequent regrouping. Check our news page for information on the upcoming planned runs, and also you can see most upcoming club events on the calendar below.
