Info
The Dorset Road Race League (DRRL) is an annual competition for runners in clubs affiliated to UKA and the Dorset County A.A. Check the DRRL website for the latest news and league tables
Members of Lytchett Manor Striders automatically take part by running in races that have been selected as Dorset Road Race League races for the year; both the Ladies and Men were promoted to division 1 at the end of 2014. The fastest 5 men and 3 women for the club in each of these races will count towards the score for the club, there is also an individual competition: the first woman and man from each club will be awarded a trophy at first DRRL race of the following year.
Points are awarded in line with finishing positions i.e. first man 1 point; second man 2 points. The person and club with the fewest points over the best 7 of the races is the winner.
Runners who complete all 12 races are given a fidelity award. There are also awards for the leading male and female runners in each club providing they have completed at least 7 races.
We select many of the same races for the Lytchett Club Championship to help ensure a good turnout!
