Welcome to the home of the Lytchett Manor Striders running club.
Founded in 1989, Lytchett Manor Striders is a small, social running club catering for all abilities. We are based in the village of Lytchett Minster, a few miles west of the English south coast town of Poole in the county of Dorset, UK.Fancy Joining Us for a Run?
The main club runs are on Thursdays, starting at Lytchett Minster School Sports Centre at 7pm for a 7.15pm start. There are several groups of different speeds, with runs usually between 6 and 10 miles. Showers are available and after the run we meet in the Clay Pipe in Sandford for a drink and chat.
Tuesday evening runs are from the Sandbanks Hotel in Poole at 7pm for a 7.10pm start. The route is between 5 and 6 miles, or turn up early for a run round the headland for an extra 2.5 miles!
There are also runs organised ad-hoc - listen out at club nights or keep an eye on the notices page for more details.
We also organise an annual 10 mile road race - The Lytchett '10' - which usually takes place in late Winter or early Spring.
If you live in this part of England or will be visiting the area, we will be very pleased to let you join us on one (or more!) of our training runs. (There are some great benefits if you decide to become a member!)
